Follow the rabbit. Embrace the absurdity. Wonderland awaits.

When Alice chases a frantic White Rabbit, she tumbles headfirst into a Wonderland—a realm that runs on dream logic, sharp wit, and delightful chaos. Here, time misbehaves, size is negotiable, and each encounter grows “curiouser and curiouser” than the last.

From the grinning Cheshire Cat to the tea‑obsessed Mad Hatter to a childish queen with a fondness for decapitation, Alice spars with eccentric strangers and talking animals who amuse, exasperate, and gleefully scramble everything she thought she knew.

With a mathematician’s precision and a satirist’s grin, Lewis Carroll pokes holes in the stiff social rules of his Victorian world, all while giving literature its most iconic “rabbit hole” — a plunge into absurdity, curiosity, and the thrills (and risks) of questioning reality. A timeless classic with a rebellious streak, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland remains a dazzling celebration of imagination, and a reminder to never abandon curiosity, or your ability to challenge the rules.

“We’re all mad here.”

About the Author

Lewis Carroll was the pen name of Oxford mathematician Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832–1898). Though he lectured on algebra and geometry, Carroll was equally drawn to the “stuff and nonsense” of puzzles, wordplay, and social critique.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland began as a tale he improvised during a summer boating trip for the Liddell sisters—the daughters of the deacon of Christ Church, where Carroll taught—with young Alice Liddell inspiring its curious heroine. Beyond Alice, he experimented with early photography and penned playful poetry, critical essays, and mathematical texts, as well as the inventive sequel, Through the Looking‑Glass.

Carroll’s irreverent view of Victorian society shaped much of his work, and the satire threaded through Wonderland reflects his delight in twisting conventions—from social etiquette to logical theorems—to reveal their absurdity. His blend of precision and mischief continues to enchant readers of all ages, inviting each new generation to follow the rabbit and see the world with fresh, questioning eyes.
